Our Counseling services are a professional and collaborative process aimed at helping individuals explore, understand, and address various personal, emotional, and psychological challenges they may be facing. Through confidential and non-judgmental sessions, counselors provide a safe space for clients to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly. By fostering a supportive and empathetic relationship, counselors work alongside clients to identify underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and set achievable goals for personal growth and positive change.

Counseling encompasses a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches tailored to each individual's unique needs and circumstances. Whether someone is struggling with mental health issues, relationship problems, life transitions, or simply seeking personal development, counseling offers guidance, support, and empowerment to navigate life's challenges and enhance overall well-being.

I am honored to be part of the therapeutic team at Kristen French Child Advocacy Center and support children and youth through their healing journey. Prior to joining the center, I gained extensive experience in counselling children, youth, and young adults in school-based settings.

I am committed to providing compassion-focused care to every child whom I serve at our center, ensuring that they receive an individualized treatment plan that fosters skill-building, self-awareness, and resiliency. In my work, I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment-Focused Family Therapy. In my practice, I utilize polyvagal strategies to support my clients in understanding and regulating their autonomic nervous system to support their emotional health.

I have a special interest in supporting children and youth in areas such as adoption and attachment, loss and bereavement, healing from trauma, life transitions, adjustment related concerns, and academic and school related challenges. I am also interested in supporting youth with the ever-changing challenges associated with navigating social media.

I am committed to providing evidence-based approaches in my work and engaging in continuous self-reflection and professional development to ensure that I provide optimal care to the children and youth I serve. Each session will provide the opportunity to heal, feel, grow, and hope.

I live in Niagara with my husband. We have three adult children and a granddaughter. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our family, tending to our garden, honeybees and chickens.
